The children at Head Start Potters Bar have been taking part in a variety of activities to celebrate Chinese New Year.
The children in nursery room decorated their own lanterns and celebrated the year of the tiger by making their own paper plate tigers.
Preschool children tried their hand at making some Wontons and Spring Rolls and enjoyed experimenting with chopsticks at lunchtime as they ate their noodles – this was rather messy but lots of fun!
Our practitioners talked to the children about the history of Chinese New Year and how it is celebrated, raising awareness and acceptance of what, how and why people celebrate.
